Anxiety, Fears, and Indecision

Are you with me? Although the year has been filled with all the above, it's only been one year. But, what a difference a year can make in ones life and those around us. I've felt the fear of economic insecurity and the anxiety from all the political rhetoric, along with an uncertain future. But one day I decided enough was enough. For starters, I had to stop paying attention to the media. That in itself helped a great deal. You know, the media is just like politics, right and left, and the extremists. And to let those folks control my thinking had to stop. Yes, we should be informed, but to become transformed is twisted. But I sure could get sucked into all the negativity real easy without even knowing it. I've been reading a book by Gary Keller titled, Market Shift and discovered how easy it is to let our guard down and just ease through life when everything is going well. And when life throws us a curve we don't know how to adjust our behavior. I'm of the firm belief what happens in life is for a reason, good and bad. Life all around can appear in chaos, but the shift in life can be a lesson learned that takes me into a better future. This adjustment is a wake up call for everyone. We can point fingers at whose to blame and all that, but the bottom line is what am I going to do about it. First, forget the media. Then take responsibility for my own actions. And finally, learn the lessons of relativity and history-what goes up must come down and history repeats itself. Folks, there are good days ahead. Keep your eye on the prize and remember, life is good.
