Carl Winters tagged me for THIS MEME a couple few days ago but I am just now getting around to it.  Thanks Carl (?)...

The rules:

  1. Create a blog post with a link to the person who so happily tagged you.  See above!
  2. List all of these rules in the post. Feel free to cut and paste this.
  3. Share 7 things that others may not know about you.  Do or have I HAD a life outside of real estate?
  4. Identify 7 friends, contacts or near enemies in which to adorn this MEME. Tag them at the end of the post and give a link to their blog.
  5. Contact each of the tagged members and let them know that you were indeed fast enough to catch them and that you did indeed tag them...no matter how much they say you missed them!  No schoolyard rules in this MEME, nope you gotta do it if you are tagged.  Sorry 7 friends!

Hmmm, What minor things should I reveal about myself?...

  1. I'm a good Scrabble and Gin Rummy player; at least I can usually beat anyone in my family.
  2. TV Shows: The Office, History Channel, Naked Archeaologist, Joel Osteen.  Radio: I love Prairie Home Companion on NPR.
  3. Hobby: Genealogy (and after today, working out).
  4. Attended 1st - 12th grade in the same school building in a very small town.
  5. Grew up on a 100+ acre farm that also served as a 100+ acre playground for my sisters and me.  There was a natural spring, a creek with sand-dollars embedded in the rock creek bed (from thousands, maybe millions of years ago?), lots of trees to climb, quiet time to read, and beloved grandparents that I saw every day.
  6. Have lived in Texas, Virginia, Maryland, Washington State, and Oregon.  Was a career Army wife.
  7. Have a (neglected) collection of 19th century Chinese Export Rose Medallion porcelain.
  8. Happiest job ever: Being a stay at home Mom.

oops, I listed more than seven things & I haven't decided who to victimize tag yet.

Dale Baker - You know what I want to read about.

Kristin Moran - Kristin, I know you haven't done this one yet.

Trey Thurmond - I don't think you have done this one.

Angelia Garcia - I don't think you have done this one, either.

Shawn Davis - We want to know more about you.

Matt Stigilano - I know you have done this before but since you were a rock star, I am sure you have lots more to share with us!

Jane Adsley-Chopp - Welcome to Active Rain! Let us know more about you!

Hi Kristin, Here is more info on The Naked Archaeologist from their website:

"In this documentary series shot on location in Egypt, Israel and Greece, the two-time Emmy Award winning producer and director Simcha Jacobovici digs deep into the most extraordinary finds in the Middle East, showing viewers Biblical archaeology like they've never seen it before: He dances, he raps, he clambers under barbed wire and over fences - and he crosses swords with the world's foremost archaeologists, historians and scientists.

Fast, funny and irreverent (think the Ali G. of archaeology), Jacobovici asks the questions we all want to know the answers to: Why is it so bad to be called a Philistine? Was Jezebel really that sexy? What do you do when you find a 2,000-year-old palace under your house? And where do you stop for a good falafel when you're on your way to find the real Mount Sinai?

So be sure to tune in to History International to Watch THE NAKED ARCHAEOLOGIST airs every Wednesday at 9E/10P."

Hi Shirley, I enjoyed reading your Meme, it's always fun to find out more about people in our AR community. I found it interesting that your favorite job was being a stay at home Mom -- that's one of the toughest jobs I know! Thanks for sharing you with us. Best wishes for the coming year!

Hi Mary, Being a stay at home Mom is a job in itself, actually several jobs.  But it gives you the opportunity for creativity in your job(s) and provides time for the entire family to spend more time together, time you wouldn't have if you are working a 40hr/wk job, keeping up with housekeeping and your children's activities.  This is just my opinion, of course. ~Happy New Year.

Hi Dale, You can expect something soon.  :o)

Hi Carl & Ceil, It will be good having someone I know from AR at the new office.  Yes, I know a few unnamed people who try to make up Scrabble words. LOL
