A Time to Breathe

By
Real Estate Agent with The Land Company

After the past two months of utter chaos between real estate school, my marketing business, and a double-load with the Masters program I am in, I find myself looking forward to my first weekend of freedom.  Through the past two months I have been abused my brain and my body, probably having some minor impacts on my soul, and I am hurting for some good old quiet time.

And I have been reminded of some important lessons that perhaps would be valued if shared, and perhaps you have some ideas that you can share with me.

1.)    No matter how hard you try to make everybody happy, you are better off spending your time figuring out how you will let other people's anger run off your back like water down a waterfall.

2.)    Don't hold yourself to any piece of paper (i.e. diploma) or any calculation (i.e. grades) that determines your worth - only YOU in your heart determines how you feel, how hard you work, and most importantly, WHO you are.

3.)    You have to feed your body good fuel if you expect it to run good - just like a car.  What you put into your body will become what you are - every single atom, every single cell, you have to consume food and drink that is NOURISHING.

4.)    Deep abdominal breathing can not only save your life, it can save others' lives.  I am learning how to bring peace to feelings I fear and people that I could potentially choke.

I think this is a good summary of some very important lessons that we all know and understand, but we can always use some good reminding of.

Hope you have a beautiful rest of your week!

Tisha, very nice! These principles are great to live by - along with being spiritually fed on a daily basis.

Sounds like you have a full plate...what's your end goal with the multiple businesses?  I've worked at such a multi-pronged attack and found I cannot focus clearly on one with all the pressures of developing several.

I think this is a great way of reminding people of what is important in life.
