When you spend so much time on the internet marketing yourself as a Colorado Realtor it is easy to get distracted from some of the best old school platforms. So, when a neighbor called and said she was having a horse tea on Sunday I jumped at the opportunity.
I spent a pleasant couple of hours with seven other ladies from the Guffey Colorado and The Four Mile community. All of them ride horses and some of them ride alone over not riding at all because they dont' have anyone to ride with in the area. One of the ladies had fallen and broken her neck on one of her solo rides. She had crawled for over three hours before she was found. How do you crawl for three hours with a broken neck and survive you ask? Where there is a will there is a way is all I can say.
The same applies to finding business in these trying economic times. One woman told us all how she carries a giant cow bell on her rides just in case something happens. So, I am taking the advise of some very experienced women. I am waving my cow bell and crawling through the muck and mire to higher ground where my shouts will be carried by the wind.
I went home with seven less business cards in my back pocket, a giant piece of the best apple ginger cake I have ever eaten and a whole new slew of friends to saddle up with once the trails are a little less snowy.
