Keller Williams Hosts the Art Walk

A Good Time Had By All!

The First Friday Art Walk in Vancouver happens, well, the first Friday of every month. The Vancouver Downtown Association (VDA) is the primary sponsor of the event. Occasionally, certain businesses will host a reception for the art walk. So, just like last year, certain Keller Williams agents put together a great reception as a way of showing client appreciation, and as local suport of the downtown businesses. We have the honor of having been the first reception of the new year.

Today, I'm posting some of the pictures I was allowed to take on Friday. I am not a proficient photographer, as you'll see, but I hope I can convey the convivial atmosphere that marks the Art Walk event.Food starts arriving, Vancouver Washington

One of the best things about this event was the spirit of community and mutual support that some of the local businesses provided to this event. Someone suggested we ask our local restaurants to provide some of their delicacies gratis and several were very obliging. THANK YOU!More food at Art Walk, Vancouver Washington

    The contributing restaurants:
  • Hidden House Greek Restaurant
  • Oriental Fast Bowl
  • Pizza Paradise
  • El Presidente
  • Salmon Creek Brew Pub
  • Cafe Al Dente'
  • Tiger's Garden
  • Dolce Gelato
  • Oh-Fudge
  • Little Italy's Trattoria
  • Provencho
  • Peppers Taquiria
  • Rivermaiden Coffee

I think of this as the Stone Soup event. Many contribute a little and many benefit beyond their individual contribution. The net result is that I heard at least 5 people say they would visit one of these restaurants now that they've sampled the food. Exactly the response we're looking for!. The First Friday Art Walk is an effort to bring after-five business to Downtown Vancouver.Lotsa food, Lotsa People, Vancouver Washington

We did have two paid vendors for the event too: K'Syrah and Jo Foody's. Both vendors received rave reviews for their products and gave us a great value.

Don't forget, First Friday is every month. Also, Camas and Ridgefield have their own First Friday events too, so if you can't get to Vancouver, please do try to get to one of the other towns. Both the walking and socializing are good for your health!

Many of the neighborhoods here have similar events along their main streets. They are a lot of fun to go to.
