Randy, that's very nice. She has a good eye for composition at an early age. I hope that she stays with it and develops it.
Hi Randy,
Great photo! You're daughter definitely has an eye for photography. Thank you for sharing.
Hi Randy, Your daughter Jeniferr, should get these published. She is amazing. I lovethis picture! I think it would be gorgeous blown up to about 4 or 5 ft.
Randy, Jenifer is quite the photographer. She has a good eye for creativity and composition. Good Photo!
Lenn ~ very nice compliment!
Kevin ~ as strong as her passion is, I can't imagine Jeni ever giving it up! Thx!
Rich ~ thank you sir! Glad you like her work.
Michael ~ Welcome! Thank you for stopping by and commenting.
My good friend, Jane ~ She's really aspiring to an online gallery of some kind. Just need some more time to develop it. I hadn't imagined this one blown up that large, but I think you're right. Great idea!
Michael ~ Thanks so much!
Randy - I am going to have to get some tips from your daughter, that is a very different, unique photograph and let her know it has been featured at:
Hey Bob ~ Jenifer asked me to tell you, "Thanks sooooooo much!" I think she's starting to get a big head. LOL
Very cool! Your daughter sure has an eye for the right shot. It's unique, with the white fluffy cloud showing at the top, then the rainbow showing through the rain drops on the window. It's like a photographic dichotomy =) (Are you impressed by my big words? LOL!)
Lisa ~ is unique your code word for weird? LOL Jeni has to be a little weird - after all, she's my daughter! ;-) And yes, I wanted to talk to you about your use of foul language. This is G-rated post, and you're comparing her work to a dicho-who-to-me? :)) Seriously, Lisa, thanks for stopping by.
Randy - Please let Jenifer know it's my pleasure to feature her photo and then take her to another world at:
www.SearchMyPics.com This is one of my photography web sites that she might learn from.
If Jenifer's head is getting big this is a good thing because it will encourage her to get out there and take more photographs.
I have been taking photographs for over 35 years and I never become bored with it, everywhere I go it's snap, snap, snap!
A little tip from Vegas Bob = When I was a teenager I was into photography and wanted to be a Commercial Artist and my parents discouraged it. If I had become a Commercial Artist who knows where I would be today. My tip would be what ever your children may want to be in life, please let them try.
Hey Bob... I'll be sure to make Jeni aware of your website. In fact, I just forwarded your comments and url to her. Not to fear, Bob - all we've ever done with our kids (and continue to do) is encourage them to live their passion(s). Thanks again for your interest, encouragement and words of wisdom.
Jackie- Thanks for commenting!
Alexsandra- Thank you. I love loving my work and especially when other people like it too.
Amy- Thanks! :) It makes me glad that I'm able to inspire other people. I entered a picture a long time ago to a costco contest but there were so many people, I didn't win, but I've been looking for contests. If you see anything I would be good for I would greatly appreciate it! My inspiration? Well, probably everything, the world. People are so fascinating which is why I think I love portraits so much. I say all the time, "It pleases my artistic eye." :) I love looking at everything and being how I was born I see everything in photographs which makes it easy when I actually take them. Thanks again!
Liz- Wow, I don't know if I could have THAT many rainbows around, but I do love that their ususally totally unexpected. Thank you for looking at my photos and supporting :)
John- Part of it is talent but also I think it's the passion and commitment you have to apply. I always have my camera around my neck in case something I like appears. I find pleasure in little things that can be photographed in different ways to show a different point of views. Thank you for the compliment and please continue to support :)
Lenn- Like my dad said it's a wonderful comment that any photographer loves to hear :) Thank you so much!
Kevin- Thank you. I'm so lucky for the hand I have been dealt :) Before photography I thought about being a cellist, I loved it almost as much but then photography finally came in the picture and I knew that was who I am and what I'm supposed to do. I can't imagine finding anything I love more so I don't think there's anyway I would leave it. I've heard too many stories of people not following their dreams and regret it all their lives. With all this support backing me up I should be able to continue on forever :)
Rich- Thanks! I hope to create an actual portfolio so I can soon start to find jobs possibly in the photography field.
Michael- thanks! Photography and I just click. LOL :) Thx for the comment.
Jane- Yes, I do hope to get a website up and running soon for all my fans :) My dad wasn't too sure about having the rain drops in the shot but I don't think it would be the same without them! It would be too easy to just take a rainbow picture :) I actually read your comment and wondered what it would look like on my desktop wallpaper and I have to say it looks amazing :) Thanks!
Michael- My quote is, "Live, eat, breath, photography." That's how it is in my life is :) Thanks for the comment :)
JL- Thanks! But I keep thinking, I can't put an AMAZING picture on here otherwise I have nothing to build on! I hope to keep increasing the quality and in effect increasing the speechlessness :)
Lisa- I don't think you can ever have the "right" shot but you can have a shot that is amazing because it's from your own perspective but thank you :) I like all the elements to it also! And no matter what my dad says, I love your use of big words :) Thank you so much for your enthusiasm and support!
Bob- The feature you gave me was more than enough to brighten my day but the comment was a bonus! I'll make a point to look at the website! Yes, my big head has definately increased my passion to take more photos to share with you guys! You are all so supportive and amazing. I can't imagine becoming bored with photography. I mean the world is such an amazing place, how could you run out of things to photograph?? You'd have to be very narrow minded and have no imagination at all :) I'm going on my 6th year if photography! Yeah, I have a friend who's parents don't encourage her to follow her dreams however they force her to follow theirs. It's harsh for me to even to think about considering all the support I have from not only my parents but the rest of my family and friends too. I'm not sure what type of photography I would like to go into but I do know I'm going to love it and my family is going to be there right behind me the whole way. I am such a lucky person to have found this much passion at my age. I'm sorry you didn't have the same provided to you, but don't beat yourself up too much for it, enjoy taking photographs for fun :) Thanks again for the feature and comments and continue to support :)
Once again everyone, THANK YOU! I am humbled by all the support so please continue to and I'll keep crankin out the photographs :)
Dear Randy,
Jenifer gets another gold star for her photo!
This was was truly inspiring.
Thanks for sharing!
Barbara
That is a great shot. It goes against all of the things they tell you to do and is awesome because of it. Sometimes we can learn too much. She did a great job!
That's worthy of a 30x60-inch poster. Aren't you and Jenifer supposed to be working on a coffee table book or a web site or something?
I love this shot!
I don't think I've ever seen such a uniquely creative shot of a rainbow. Great composition, color, focus, and perspective!
