It is November and a good time to be Thankful for many things, including the people we are close to and the many wonderful opportunities that are presented to us that we normally just take for granted.
So, let me start out with how grateful I am, for having relocated to Los Angeles twenty-two years ago. It is hard to appreciate and understand what a fantastic climate we live in if you have never been here. We on the other hand, too often take it for granted and complain that it is too cold or too hot, depending if it is summer or winter in Los Angeles. Instead of being thankful and appreciate what we have for climate.
Well let me put it in perspective. I just returned from Boston, MA from a six-day fun, work and vacation combined with visiting friends, family and meeting new and old friends. Now with that said I have a new or should I say a renewed appreciation of the Los Angeles weather. These six days and five nights put things in perspective for me.
Let me share with you, when we arrived the first two days were hot, especially for November. It was 68 degrees and the humidity hovered around 75%- 90%, depending when you looked. I know it is quite unusual for the Fall weather in Boston, MA. This is something I have forgotten and not been used to, for a long time. Hence in two days five showers later, I was wondering when things will change. Well the following morning the highs were in the very low fifties and high forties. I was so glad, that we packed cold weather gear as well. Now by the fifth day, the climate changed again, it was cold and rainy and the day we were leaving Boston, MA had torrential downpours.
It did not take long for me to be very grateful and be very appreciative of the wonderful our temperate climate is here in Los Angeles. So as I am sitting here writing this post the windows are closed because it is “freezing outside in Los Angeles” it is 64 degrees and 5% humidity.

Just on a side note Diane mentioned to our friends and relatives that these past six days confirmed that I will never move back to the Boston area strictly because of the climate.
