Just a quick reminder to ActiveRain members in the Seattle/Eastside Washington area, Toby Barnett organized a ActiveRain get together tonight in Kirkland. So far it's a pretty small crew, but anybody is welcome to stop in and join in the fun. Thanks to Teri Isner for helping organize. We are going to have an informal meeting of ActiveRain members down at the NAR conference in New Orleans. This will give us a chance to actually meet in person instead of simply via the Internet. All of break out sessions on Saturday start at 9:00, so an hour before that at 8:00 am is an optimal time. As Teri pointed out there should be plenty of open tables at or next to the International Room. Time: Saturday, Nov. 11th, 8:00 am Location: International Room, near trade show floor

So we've gotten several questions about what were up to, to help promote the ActiveRain Real Estate Network at the big NAR conference in New Orleans. We'll here it is, or at least one of the things :) We've designed personalized "referral cards" for our members. It's essentially a stylish business card that on one side has a little advertisement for ActiveRain (with your referral URL) and on the other it has your name, picture, and link to your profile (which has your contact information). Just wanted to make one last post about this in case anybody forgot or didn't see the previous posts. ActiveRain members (and non members) are invited to meet up tomorrow evening (Wednesday) at Buckley's in Seattle. Caleb, James and myself will arrive by 6:00 and I've heard from quite a few members that plan on making it. A few weeks ago there was a thread about doing an informal get together to ActiveRain members in the Seattle area. I'm finally making an executive decision here and we're going to meet up the evening of Wednesday, Oct. 11th at Buckley's on Queen Anne. Buckley's is a fairly quite neighborhood restaurant and pub. Anyways I'll be there, and ActiveRain members are invited to show up and talk, network and chat. We were thinking it would be fun to do an offline get together of Seattle area, ActiveRain members. It would be something informal like meeting somewhere in the area for drinks on a weekday evening. This would be a great opportunity to get to know each other a little better, share ideas, and network with others in the real estate community. If the concept works, the same type of meetings could be arranged in other areas of the country that have a mass ActiveRain members.
