Canyons Acreage Auction Tuesday, March 27, 2012, Park City, Utah - 03/26/12 10:58 AM
Approximately 1,000 acres in 53 parcels, currently owned by Wolf Mountain Resort will be auctioned on Tuesday, March 27, 2012. The acreage is under Canyons ski lifts and stretches from Canyons Drive to the top of Canyons Resort. Parcels of land range from less than 5 acres to more than 300 acres. The proceeds of the auction will be used to pay down a $54.5M judgment against Wolf Mountain by ASC, Utah. Representatives of Talisker will attend the auction and possibly bid, as there is an immediate impact on their Canyons Resort. Talisker currently owns 13,000 acres in Summit County.

Park City, UT Real Estate Statistics Through February 2012 - 03/14/12 10:04 AM
The Park City Board of Realtors statistics through February 2012 show that Gross Sales Volume of $132M was down 21% from the same period in 2011, though sales for the month of February were much stronger than January. Overall pending sales are up 31% over February 2011, which should make for stronger sales in March and April. The number of available listings is down almost 25% from the same period in 2009, and distressed properties are having a minimal impact on the current market, as the inventory of distressed properties has been reduced considerably. Will Talisker Force Park City Mountain Resort to Shut Down? Park City, Utah - 03/14/12 08:22 AM
Park City Mountain Resort filed a lawsuit against Talisker Land Holdings to continue the right to use land occupied by some of Park City Mountain Resorts chairlifts and runs. Unless the dispute is resolved the future of the Resort is threatened. Talisker Land Holdings acquired the land with the purchase of United Park City Mines several years ago and Park City Mountain Resort has continued to pay the lease payments. In April 2011 the Resort confirmed in writing that our right to use the land was extended through April 2031 and paid the rent, which was accepted and cashed. Talisker notified (0 comments)
