I have always had a sense of wanting to have lived back in the day when a handshake and spoken word were as good as a contract today. Times have changed people to where I know that is no longer a realistic expectation in general. It is an expectation though that I look for in friendship and business relationships.

Reading this weekend some articles about investing in the stock market. When I finished I began thinking about about how emotional people get in selling or buying a property. The seller thinks about ALLLLL the money they have put into the house to make it look, smell and feel the way they wanted it too. A buyer looks at the same house and does not like the look, smell or feel of the property and ALLL the money they will have to spend to fix it up to where they are comfortable. The Next Wave!! We are a couple of weeks from the scare of the devastation of a tsunami on Kauai. Kauai was lucky in that the surges from the ocean did not cause damage. I heard on the news tonight that the debris from Japan will be hitting our beaches in two to three years!
Made me think of the Real Estate Market Nationwide. Mortgage problems started showing up slowly and then we had the huge hit. We have gone through subprime mortgages, we are beginning to deal with the ARM's, with government programs trying to minimize damage. Prices (17 comments)

Foreclosure Freeze: Homeowners Want to Know what it Means By now many homeowners have heard that Bank of America, Ally Financial (formerly GMAC), and JPMorgan Chase have all temporarily suspended foreclosure proceedings to investigate possible problems with mortgage documentation. Bank of America froze foreclosures in all 50 states, but October 19th announced they will move forward in the 23 states that resolve foreclosures through their judicial systems. Hawaii is one of the 23 States. Ally and Chase have continued to halt proceedings in these states.
