Join us for the 2010 National Angelman Syndrome Awareness Walk on May 15th, 2010! Last year our area raised over $80,000 for research and awareness of Angelman Syndrome and we need your help to do it again! You can still come and walk with us at Cooper River Park in Pennsauken, NJ near the Playground and Dog Park - just follow the signs. Registration opens at 8:00am and the walk starts at 9:15am. We will have plenty of food, musica nd fun!

I received an email from a friend today asking for help for a dear friend of hers! She has a daughter with Cerebral Palsy and so has made a friend in this local family who is also struggling with the same disorder. Meet Dominic! He is a 7 year old boy who need your help! Angelman Syndrome (AS) is a neuro-genetic disorder that occurs in 1 in 15,000 live births. AS is often misdiagnosed as cerebral palsy or autism. Born and raised in Maine I am no novice when it comes to snow! But now that I have lived in New Jersey for 14 years I have come to know our typical mild winters and have enjoyed the lack of shoveling. To date we have received over 71 inches - that's 4 times the typical amount we receive in a season! So what do you do when you get hit with all of this snow? You like it or lump it! I was listening to our local radio station yesterday morning when Preston & Steve at WMMR were reporting on their "Bizzaro Files". This portion of their show always intrigues me and so I tuned my ears in to listen. A few stories went by and they were ok - then this particular story caught my attention.
