There are certain things that always seem to show up on the home inspection. Below are some great tips by Paul to prepare for the home inspection.
You might be surprised at how many filters are dirty, light bulbs not working, or gutters are full of debris. Yes, these things do show up on home inspections.
Do yourself a favor and have your house in tip top condition for the home inspection.
Also, as Paul mentions, have keys available to sheds, crawl spaces and electrical boxes.

Housing in Holly Springs, NC is doing INCREDIBLY WELL! The median sales price increased from $196,950 in May 2011 to $262,552 in May 2012. Inventory is down 32% and DOM - days on the market is down 25%. We're still seeing multiple offers on homes.
I believe there are several key factors contributing to this unbelievable change. First of all, gas prices have gone down which makes people more comfortable with driving further for a good value. Housing in Cary, NC is Strong! The median sales price increased from $272,206 in May 2011 to $279,700 in May 2012. Inventory is down and DOM - days on the market has increased slightly. We're still seeing multiple offers on homes.
What is very good is the sales price to listing ration is 97.2%. This mean the average home is selling for approximately 97% of the final listing price.
