I am completely in love with Arlington, Virginia. Even though I moved here 9 years ago from arguably one of the world's most beloved and traveled cities - San Francisco - I have always felt at home in Arlington and know most of its true treasures. Washington DC is famous for its spring cherry blossoms - but I would like to give some love to the amazing July Crepe Myrtles we have so many of around here, especially in Arlington. They are the kind reward for the melting heat we endure in the summer. Dripping in colors from white to purple to fuscia- they even have sexy trunks. I love these trees!
