I'm a little upset with having to leave all our previous posts & blogs behind, but the site we were using has become too cumbersome & the Property Search wasn't as user friendly as we wanted. Top Reasons for Buying A Home In Bucks County I read Karl E. Case's op-ed piece in the NY Times yesterday, "A Dream Home After All". For those of you who don't follow real estate regularly Case is one half of Case & Shiller Index which is a comprehensive home price index for the US going back many years. The blog below is great and obviously has a lot to do with being a Realtor because we not only live in our communties, but also "sell" our communities. I remeber growing up in Newtown and thinking how boring it was, but 10 years later I couldn't love living here more. Bucks County has so much to offer from the rolling hills and farmlands, to the quaint towns such as Newtown, Doylestown, New Hope, Yardley etc. We are only 45 minutes from Philadelphia which was my other home in the 10 years I didn't live in Bucks and the city has an … (3 comments)

One of the driving factors for many people to move to Bucks County isn't just the beautiful countryside and quaint old towns such as Newtown, Doylestown, Yardley, New Hope etc., but the numerous fantastic schools we have. Recently, Newsweek released it's list of America's Best Schools which encompass only 6% of the public schools in the nation and guess what? We have two schools who made the list. I wanted to expand a bit on the blog I wrote yesterday. I fully believe that green homes are the wave of the future and no matter what will become the standard for new homes being built. The reason why is because green really means quality. Green homes have a better building envelope and use top notch systems that reduce energy consumption reducing monthly costs.
