These little guys can be a lot of fun to watch as they paddles around the sound finding their day as they come upon it.
I  love the way it looks as though they have a plan even though we all know there is so much to do here in Mason County- that the possibilities of how to spend the better part of an afternoon are limitless. I have often contemplated whether it was a day to hike the twisty trails, kayak the sparkling waters, fish the cool rivers, float around in the lakes or skydive at the Shelton Airport. Bursting out of a hidden world only to be glimpsed in ours for a moment.
Splashes sound and once again nothing is to be seen but the circles that surround the empty space...dissipating until he surfaces again.
The deep waters of Hood Canal hide the native Ocras. The Olympic Mountains surround them and the Stoic Eagles fly watch over them. what a day to be.
What a beautiful moment in time.

How cute am I? I live at Harstene Point in Mason County. It is a gated community and the wildlife here is encouraged to hang out. You are not supposed to feed us, but I can tell you it happens... and I love it.
There is a lot to do here at the "Pointe." They have a pool with hot tub for soaking, miles of trails, a marina, fitness center, lagoon, tennis courts and fantastic views from just about anywhere of Mt. Rainer, the sound or Olympics.
They are not so keen on letting me in the pool or the tennis … (20 comments)

Life can be so busy these days. You grab your morning jolt of coffee, and scan the paper- then your off zipping through traffic and stalling and waiting for what ever the hold up is. You pause and go until you get there. Then it is work work work, catch up on life and off to lunch. Then finish out the day and back to the traffic, and home again to catchup on all that the little house in the concrete jungle needs.
