HAPPY FRIDAY!!!!!! Making your WEEKEND count!!!! ;D - 02/24/12 06:54 AM
For many, usually Friday marks the beginning of the weekend, but for real estate agents, Friday is the start of the most productive 3 days! Most clients are available to go house hunting with their agents on the weekends due to their own work/personal schedules. Many agents do not like to "work" on Sunday's, but if you have clients who are only available during your "off days" that is potentially serious money going out of the window into another agents hand. Get out their and make your WEEKENDS count!!!

I came across an interesting article By Josh Brown, The Virginian-Pilot©February 5, 2012.
CHESAPEAKE
Sam Lowry scribbled notes at the back of a classroom at the Alpha College of Real Estate.
Jobless for almost a year, the 25-year-old Chesapeake native was trying for his second time to get through the real estate course, which he must pass to take the state exam for a real estate license. He took the class last August but didn’t pass part of the final test. After taking some time off, he came back to review and try again.
For Lowry, selling real estate represents an … (0 comments)

Problems in a house! Signs to look for. - 02/15/12 03:45 PM
A home is a big investment so once you own one it is a good idea to stay on top of the things that need to be fixed.  This will help reduce the cost of repairs and maintain a safe house.     1. Electrical system Wiring problems claim the No. 1 spot for good reason: They can lead to fires and electrocution. "That trumps everything," says Waldman.
Danger signs: Circuit breakers that trip frequently, lights that dim when you turn on the vacuum or outlets that are loose, hot, or accept only two-prong plugs.

2. Basement Structural problems downstairs … (0 comments)

Saving that moolah makes you feel good! - 02/10/12 01:55 PM
Everyone talks about saving money...but actually doing is another story.  Here are some ways to make it possible!

Be realistic. When it comes to saving money, make sure your goals are realistic. If you earn $50,000 a year, saving $20,000 would be nice, but it is very unrealistic. Make your goals attainable or you will never save.
Be flexible.Once you have set your goal for saving, realize that things can and will change. The secret is learning ways to be flexible. If you normally save $150 per month and something unexpected happens, you may only be able to save $50 that … (2 comments)
