Recruiting agents from CB to KW - 10/08/07 09:01 PM
I recently landed a great recruit from CB to KW and the day she was going to move her broker somehow talked her out of leaving. I am at a loss for words on this one. KW would have saved her $60,000 a year, we fit her culture much more, we were everything she was dreaming of! What do I do? It is best for her family, her career, everything. Any advice? I am sure that un-truths were being slung all over her office today and she began believeing the lie. I would love to hear what Active-Rainers feel about this. (6 comments)
October is a great month for real estate - 10/08/07 07:36 AM
We are in one of the greatest months of the year for real estate. No matter what "the market" is doing, now is the time to be prospecting a couple of hours a day and getting people interested in buying and selling real estate. Let me offer a few tips to make October, November and December the three best months for you! 1. Spend at least 2 hours a day lead generating. Call all of you past clients! Call all the people you do business with. Call people in the church, school, dance class, baseball team, everyone. Once you talk to them, (7 comments)
Kids can make all the difference - 10/07/07 10:36 PM
When we stop and think just how blessed we are to be living in the United States, to be able to pick our mate, to be able to mate as often as we want, to work where we want, to make a good living, wow...how blessed can we be? Then we watch our children. I never got to play sports, I never learned a musical instrument, I never really achieved at anything. Just yesterday I was watching my middle son play football on AstroTurf! Amazing. Then we rushed to a fine arts festival and changed and I watched my older son (4 comments)
Shreveport Evangel Christian Acadamy - 10/07/07 10:26 PM
Keller Williams Northwest Louisiana is opening in Shreveport Louisiana in a week or two, right at the perfect time for High School Football fans in Louisiana. Football is a part of life up here in Shreveport, very much like it is down south and even to the West in Texas. As college football has become great in Louisiana, LSU being ranked number one, one can only imagine how excited High School football is here as well. In Shreveport Louisiana, we have one of the finest, little private schools in the nation. Evangel Christian Academy, has five graduates playing in the NFL today! (1 comments)
Oak Alley in Bossier City - 10/03/07 07:22 PM
Wow, attention to detail, fine cut yards, beautiful homes, it is all available in Oak Alley in Bossier City Louisiana. This private gated community, tucked away right off I-220 in Bossier City is attracting the "who's who" in Bossier City Louisiana. In a town where the average price per square foot is about $100, Oak Alley fetches in the range of $180-$200 a foot, and wow. The streets are a pleasure to drive on, all the yards, trees, flowers are beautiful, and the small community has fun together! Even some of the biggest producing real estate agents in Shreveport and Bossier (0 comments)
Lake or Golf Course? - 10/03/07 07:05 PM
My wife and I, both agents with Keller Williams Realty in Shreveport Louisiana, have been showing a lot of homes on the lake and on the golf course. Both of us are working with different clients, but the clients are in similiar price ranges. What is the attraction to living right on the lake and right on the golf course? I understand the view of a beautiful sunset on the lake, but the price range that we are showing is without a view. I would love to hear some opinion of why people that spend more than your average joe want to (4 comments)
Homes that sell fast - 10/03/07 06:44 PM
How does it feel to list a beautiful home in a great part of town that is priced right? I am sure with all the press and rumors of how bad the market is, agents must be getting sick and tired of working. Really, when was the last time you took a listing looking forward to closing it in the next 30 days? Well, I can tell you from experience, the feeling is awesome and keeps me coming back for more. When I take such good care of my client that the homes shows a few times, an offer is written (3 comments)

Great Thoughts - 10/02/07 10:06 PM
If you are thinking this is going to be the week that tough listing sells...this may be the week. If it does not sell this week, think about giving it back. What really is the cost of a tough listing that has your mind all jacked up? Here is a great thought. I would rather have 3 great listings than 10 horrible listings. Really, what agents wants to wake up today knowing that Mr. Overpriced Know-it-all is going to call 5 times today wanting to know what you are doing to sell his Outdated house? Not me!! I would rather please (1 comments)
Hot Market in Shreveport Louisiana - 10/02/07 10:01 PM
Who says the market is not hot?? This week alone I sold a house in less than 7 days for the full asking price, and by the way, it was more than the FSBO was asking prior to me listing it! Just tonight, a Townhome that has been on the market for about a month went pending. We are working with no less than 5 buyers, and listing appointments just keep coming in. Now is a great time for a hard working, customer focused agent to be in business. The sky is the limit, which means there are not limits. Buyers (2 comments)
