My daughter was getting married and her fiance's family came in from all different parts of the country to celebrate the special event. Most of them stayed at hotels along the beautiful San Antonio River Walk. I spent a lot of time on the River Walk getting to know Randy's family during that week. What a wonderful reason to spend time enjoying one of the most popular and one of my favorite features of our city.

Do you think that just because you can't get to New Orleans or Galveston to celebrate Mardi Gras you're going to miss it? Think again! We celebrate Mardi Gras in San Antonio!
There will be a Mardi Gras Arts & Crafts Fair held on the River Walk Extension from February 1 thru 3, 2008 from 10:00 am to 11:00 pm each day.
On Saturday, February 2, 2008, the San Antonio River Walk will be transformed into a floating Bourbon Street. Krewes dressed in costumes will be on the floats celebrating Mardi Gras in San Antonio Style!

If you've ever been to San Antonio, TX,you've been to Paseo del Rio, the River Walk along the San Antonio River. The River Walk winds through the heart of downtown San Antonio on both sides of the San Antonio River. The cobblestone and flagstone walkways and beautiful arched bridges and steps were completed between 1939 and 1941. The blend of fine hotels, shops, cafes and restaurants, music creates a very romantic atmosphere.
