Tis the season, for summer concerts in the gardens!! Yes, every Monday night, bring your chairs or blankets, even a picnic (no alcohol, sorry) -and enjoy the show :) Well-behaved pets allowed on leashes, too. We are very fortunate to have some great venues in our area - the CSRA! Central Savannah River Area -and it includes the area in/around Aiken SC and Augusta GA. James Brown Arena and Bell Auditorium are both in Augusta and have very active calendars - from our local ice hockey team - Augusta Riverhawks, to the Circus! Where: James Brown Arena, Augusta GA When: April 19th 2013 Time: 7:30pm - doors open at 6:30pm Who!!!!!! Free concert every Monday night in the summer - at Hopelands Gardens. (in case of rain - concerts are held at the Odell-Weeks Activity Center) Here's the next couple of concerts you can enjoy - FOR FREE!!! nothing beats live music :)
July 26Mike Frost Trio August 2Ft. Gordon Dixieland Band August 9Aiken Brass Concerts start at 7pm, and end around 8pm. Bring a blanket or chair...even a picnic dinner can be enjoyed while listening to the performance. Feel like dancing?? Get up and do it!! Enjoy! Say hi if you see me:)

For many, this marks the official start of Summer Fun here in Aiken - the Summer concert series at Hopelands Gardens. THere is no better way to spend a Monday evening then listening to a concert in the 'park'. Bring your girl (or guy!), your blankets or lawn chairs - sit back, relax, and enjoy the music!

We are so blessed to have this beautiful public garden in town. Originally part of The Iselin family estate, Hopelands Gardens was given to the City of Aiken, and opened as a public garden in 1959. Enter the gardens and you get the feeling that you are in a different world - possibly even stepping back into time. Giant old trees tower over the main entrance path provide shade on a summers day.
