Paying it Forward: Helping Others Save Money
This week I was in the office and a fellow agent came in and was talking about wanting to get a new cell phone. There have been a lot of changes in the cell phone industry and signing up for a two year contract is definitely going the way of the Dodo bird. Personally, I am anxiously awaiting the expiration of my contract next month so that I can switch to a lower cost provider.

Plantation Greens Apartments Finally to be Reviewed by Chesapeake City Council
The Chesapeake City Council will reviewing the proposed development of the Plantation Greens apartment complex that is proposed to be developed in the land between the Cahoon Plantation Golf Club and Shillelagh Road. The apartment complex would bring 325 luxury apartments to the area. Concerns over the project focus on the already congested Dominion Boulevard to the issues with drainage that many local residents have suffered as a result of previous development efforts. Supporters claim that it would stimulate growth and economic development.

Last night I had to run through the drive-thru at my youngest son's favorite fast food joint (hey, we were running late and he had to get to play practice!) This week, I got a note from my son's teacher stating that he had told her that he did not get a parent signature on a lab study design as required because my husband and I were out of town but would we please sign it when we were back in town. The other day, I went to the post office and got in line for the Automated Postage Center. In front of me was a woman who had about 20 large envelopes of various shapes and sizes. When she approached the machine, it was apparent that she was not very familiar with how to navigate the menus on the screen.
