Your Privacy, Your Data Matters- How Much Paper Is Too Much
One real estate transaction can result in your personal information being stored in many different places.
Over the years a real estate agent who keeps their own files as well as the files retained by the real estate company they work for will amass a considerable amount of personal information and data about a wide range of people. This is in addition to the files You, your lawyers, mortgage lenders and appraisers keep.
You may never know how long it is retained or who has access to it. Back when I started in real … (2 comments)

Will The 2012 Real Estate Market Be To Hot To Handle?
One Sale Does Not Make A Market
One sale does not make a market but one sale could be the spark that will ignite a very hot spring market in certain areas of the (GTA) Greater Toronto Area real estate market. Recently a home in Mimico sold for a reported $200,000 over asking price as 31 people bid on the home.
Several factors including a prime location and a lower than usual number of properties for sale likely played a part in this sale.

Do You Trust Politicians To do The Right Thing? - 01/27/12 10:22 PM
Do You Trust Politicians To do The Right Thing?
Over the years we have all heard or read stories about politicians who have betrayed the trust of those who elected them. We have even come to expect some of it from politicians at the federal level.
The most accountable form of Government has traditionally been at the local level but recently even that is questionable as some of them have ignored the trust placed in them by the electorate and done some questionable things.
Those of you living in the Greater Toronto Area have seen it first hand with the much loved … (6 comments)

My Garden Kittens - An Entry In the Russel Ray Photos January Contest

Recently we had a neighbours Cat decide that under our porch was a great place to give birth to her litter. The porch provided a protected cave for her young while she was out hunting for their next meal. The sun drenched stone steps offered a warm place for her to feed her young while sunning herself. The garden offered a jungle like environment for the kittens to learn about and practice their hunting and stalking skills as they chased frogs and bugs under the canopy of garden … (13 comments)

The clouds were moving rather quickly and I would not have had time to stop the car jump out on the busy road and set the picture up with the out the lines.
Because the picture spoke to me I pulled over on the shoulder of the road, grabbed my camera and took it anyway even though the hydro lines run across the centre of the picture.

Reflections - Little did I know that my life would be forever changed.
Life has a way of making us see things in a different light. Often events in our lives send us off into unexplored territory. As each year comes to a close people tend to reflect on what has taken place in their lives and in the world around them and to ponder what lays ahead.
