Just in case Realtor.com did not send anyone an email and or you deleted an email from them thinking it was not important and you were too busy negotiating to deal with extras, then if you have not done so already, you will want to create an account and profile with your picture and contact information. Otherwise when the consumer goes to "Find a Realtor near you" on Realtor.com, you and they will probably not be impressed by what they are finding about you. Here is another cool tool I found in Realtor Magazine. Screen presso. Unlike print screen and copy and paste into a word processor and then put in text boxes with arrows and what not this puppy will help you take any Internet website page and make it hum in your marketing. You must downoad this and then play with it a little to get how it works, but it is fairly straight forward and when you do take a minute to download this so cool tool you will see the possibilities are endless. I have to hand it to NAR, and our state's Washington Association of Realtors (WAR) for trying to get us the Right Tools Right Now. As I previously mentioned there are three free videos at www.warealtor.org at the home page under the menu Education and then the second selection down is the videos by our legal hotline author Attorney Annie Fitzsimmons, but there are also free webinars at www.realtorsfr.org. For years I would receive the Realtors magazines and throw them in a pile and ignore them. Then I saw something in my ABR handout saying READ the Realtor magazine every month. I thought ok I will read it with my morning tea or coffee, after all that is something free I can do. After the first few months I made it a habit to read through the all literature that arrives. It has made a big difference in my knowledge base.

I reviewed a legal bulletin today that was posted in the Northwest Multiple Listing Service this year that really caught my attention. Whenever I see the words "real estate agents may innocently be" next to the phrase "conducting mortgage fraud" in a legal bulletin, it really gets my attention. The bulletin warned about conducting mortgage fraud. Here I may point out that fraud equates to knowingly and it is very interesting that the author associates those two terms. Do you feel guilty about all the things you as an agent should be doing? Sometimes I read information about how a successful agent should be doing this, that and the other thing. Goodness Gracious I would be dead if I could do half of these lists because I would never have time to sleep. Based on the discussion regarding the Sigma 10-20mm wide angle lens for Nikon F Mount Digital SLR cameras for showing off interior rooms, I whole heartedly agree. It makes the rooms look fantastic. Where I live in the beautiful Methow Valley this lens is also great for a one shot pan of the mountains if you are close up to them. What about if the mountains are in the distance and present a beautiful landscape? I could not believe it when I found a Telephoto Zoom lens for just $115.
