It is obvious when you look at the large overhead signs, I-95 is the interstate running outside the beltway and I-395 runs inside the beltway to DC. However if someone asks you how to get to DC and you say take Shirley Highway then you … (0 comments)

northern virginia real estate: CHILDREN ARE SELLERS IN SMALLER PACKAGES - 05/17/10 05:19 AM
Our team creates business cards for our younger assistants.  They love them.  This post from Martha Brown is another way to get the kids involved in the process and a reward at the end of the sale.

After moving several times with small children in tow I knew personally just how stressful it could be on them. Sometimes it seemed as if the move was a 'bigger' deal to them then it was to me and to me it was huge.
So when I decided to make real estate my career one of the first things I did was … (2 comments)

northern virginia real estate: Two Royal Communities in Northern Virginia-Kings Park & Kings Park West - 11/01/08 09:39 AM
I sent this post about Kings Park in Springfield today to a family considering relocating to the area.  It was written by Cindy Jones back in Feb 2008.  The clients thought it was a great overview of the area. These are the type of posts I love to find to help families making the transition to an area.

It isn't hard to figure out what the developer of the first Kings Park was planning when they laid out the plan for the community and the homes.  With one look at the street names Thames, Victoria, Trafalgar and Cromwell among others you might think … (1 comments)

northern virginia real estate: Not All Northern Virginia Condos Are Built the Same - 11/01/08 05:04 AM
Recently some friends were out in Northern Virginia trying to decide if a new home was in their future.  They were checking out various condominiums developments from Arlington to Prince William County.  They quickly learned that the differences from building to building can be huge.

northern virginia real estate: Charlestown-A Springfield VA Neighborhood Welcomes You Home - 10/05/08 04:05 AM
Another great post by Cindy Jones on a local community.  I like the way she weaves information about the community with personnal experience.  Her history series on the Northern Virginia area,  the neighborhoods and commuting are tops on the list of the ones I send out to perspective buyers relocating to the area.
Enjoy!

In the past few months two of my military buyers have decided to call the Charlestown subdivision in West Springfield home.  Having owned a home myself in Charlestown for a number of years, knowing the schools, the commute to either the Pentagon or Fort Belvoir and the … (0 comments)
