I have posted this on another blog but thought it would be helpful to ActiveRain members as well...
I had a meltdown a couple of weeks ago when I replaced my laptop's keyboard using Gateway's "easy" instructions and damaged a ribbon cable on another part in the process. You guessed it, my backups weren't up to date. (Shame, shame!) Well, I dropped it off to my trusted tech fellow and he called me later that day to inform me that he couldn't get the part needed to fix my machine. OMG what is a girl to do? Humorous Real Estate Billboard - 02/23/07 12:22 AM

This billboard hangs on the outside of a local mall and I just couldn't resist taking a picture. (It was raining so the shot is a bit fuzzy.) Very clever!
It is great to see the local Association of RELATORS promoting their members so visibly.
Using humor in your marketing can be an effective tactic to ensure your message is remembered and maybe even passed along just like this one. Viral marketing is a beautiful thing! :)

Why People Stop Buying - 02/22/07 10:39 PM
There is a section a book published in the early 90's called Power Direct Marketing: How To Make It Work For You by "Rocket" Ray Jutkins that has rung true and stuck with me through the years. I thought you might find it interesting and give you some food for thought.
People stop buying from people for five primary reasons:
