Day 33 Masonboro Island - This pristine barrier island is one of the last undisturbed islands in the area. It sits south of Wrightsville Beach and north of C arolina Beach. Masonboro Island is accessible only by boat. The island is about 8 miles long... Most people access the sandy beaches at the north and south end. You must carry your trash off and protect our beautiful island. A walk across the dunes and you see the beautiful crystal blue Atlantic. This is one of the prettiest beaches in the area.
