It’s no secret that central Texas has experienced a terrific drought this summer and that continues. However, Georgetown, TX has experienced an exceptional problem on top of the widely publicized drought. The feed pipe from Lake Stillhouse that supplies water to Lake Georgetown broke last week. This necessitated the City of Georgetown to enact emergency watering restriction for no outside watering of any kind. No underground sprinklers, no car washing, no watering with a garden hose. Month of October 2010 - Georgetown, TX sales had unusually low unit volume for the month with only 67 units recorded. Prices in the high end of the market have done quite well with the high watermark set at $1,100,000. Average sales prices edged up 4.0% based on the high end strength, but median sales prices sank 2.6%.
