The Eastman Kodak Company's web site (Kodak.com) has a technical blog, entitled A Thousand Nerds, for those that "want to read about the technology and innovations that come from the scientists, researchers and inventors of Kodak."It contains a wide mix of technical information and discussions, including photography tips and techniques. For example, a recent blog entry, The World Is Horizontal, discusses the proper ways to take photos that will be stitched together for creating panoramas. NAR Study: Legal Liability Issues - 06/24/07 05:43 AM
The NAR recently released the 2007 NAR Legal Scan, which it claims is it's most comprehensive study to date of legal issues and trends in the real estate industry.The historial data is based on research of court documents, states, regulations and jury verdict reports, involving 655 court cases and 112 statutes and regulations. The study contains an appendix listing each case, statute and regulation with full legal citation by issue and jurisdiction. Their creed is, "We Shall Never Leave You, We Shall Never Forsake You." The organization was originally started by a local, grassroots group of community leaders in Danville, California. It's leader, Mike Conklin, is a father of three Army Ranger sons and was inspired to help severely wounded soldiers after one of his sons was injured in Iraq. New Survey from ULI Looks at Impact of Commuting"Concern is apparent within the business community-particularly among larger employers-about the lack of affordable housing for employees, with companies reporting the shortage as being problematic in hiring and retaining entry- and mid-level workers, according to a new survey released by the Urban Land Institute (ULI). The same survey showed interest by moderate-income workers in moving closer to work if affordable housing were available."The survey consisted of an employer portion and a consumer (commuter) portion, conducted recently by Harris Interactive. Medford Community Events: Annual Art, Music and Antiques Festival - 06/08/07 09:26 AM
The past Sunday was the annual Arts, Music and Antiques Festival hosted by the Medford Village Historical Society. This year we had the threat of rain hovering over the event. The rains did come, but they held off with just a few sprinkles until later in the afternoon, so we we able to successfully hold the event while only shortening it by about an hour when the rains began coming steadily and gradually increasing in intensity.For those of you who attended and stopped by our booth, we thank you. Medford Lakes Community Events: Memorial Day - 06/08/07 08:58 AM
This past Memorial Day, Medford Lakes celebrated with it's traditional Memorial Day Parade lead off by the Shawnee marching band, following by the herd of kids in their decorated bikes and then follow by local officials and a huge line of police, fire and emergency vehicles from Medford Lakes and the surrounding communities of Medford, Southampton, Shamong, Evesham and Tabernacle townships and the Forest Service. It was a surprisingly long and impressive line.The highlight of this event is when the parade ends up for memorial ceremonies at the Borough's municipal building (currently temporarily location while construction on the new log municipal building (0 comments)

My oldest daughter, knowing that I wanted to hear and see Tony Bennett perform live, gave me a combination Christmas, Birthday and Father's Day present and took me to see him in concert at Wolf Trap, Vienna, VA the other day. The concert is part of his "The Best Is Yet To Come" tour sponsored in part by the AARP. One of the many advantages of living in the South Jersey / Delaware Valley area is the ability to attend events and visit sights in the Washington - Baltimore - Philadelphia - New York metropolitan region, that can easily be done in (1 comments)

Your Guide to Understanding New Jersey Municipality Types and Forms.The State of New Jersey has established 5 official types of local governing municipalities that it recognizes within it's counties: Township, City, Borough, Town and Village. They all control well defined geographical areas and have the same legal standing within the state and their respective counties. There are no lower level or subordinate municipalities through which they have to share power. This differs from the concept of a township outside of New Jersey. For those of us who are Realtors in the Delaware Valley or anyone receiving listings sent from the MLS (TREND) serving most Delware Valley area Realtors, this is a reminder/notice that the recent status of "A/C", which was "Active with Contract", has been discontinued. Starting in June 24, 2007, that status will be replaced by what is being called "contingency indicators" to better reflect the situations when an agreement of sale is involved and the property is to continue to be allowed to have showings.The new contingency indicators will show as:ACT-A - Attorney Review (New Jersey only) ACT-E - Escape Clause (also known as (0 comments)

For a great time out with friends or family, join us at the annual Medford, New Jersey Arts, Music and Antiques Festival, hosted by the Historic Medford Village Association. It will start at 10 a.m. and end at 4 p.m. on Sunday, June 3rd. (Rain date will be, Sunday June 10th, the following week.)
