This is such a difficult thing to achieve! The move into my current home was a nightmare! I hired a highly respected BIG NAME company for my move. I worked with them for weeks prior to the move to get organized and set for my move. I was the agent for both the sale and purchase of my new home and knew I would not have any trouble getting out on the day of closing and the contract was written as such. The B named company assured me they would be at my door at 7 am on moving day. Come 10:00 no where to be found. Call after call...by 2 p.m and me being a complete basket case still no where. This B named company assured me there would not be a problem, at the latest I would be moved would be by 6 pm. (contract called for 5) Friends had already begun moving the boxes and small stuff, and we waited, and waited, and waited. We started calling for moving trucks. NONE AVAILABLE on this Labor day weekend. Nothing within 75 miles! The B named company never showed up that day. After weeks of planning and research, BBB reviews....even the best laid plans.....

A great experience & a happy end result.

Pat, Stephanie,

Thanks for the comments.  Yes, that is one of the reasons we wanted to do this series.  There are many "horror stories" out there.

Best to you,

Kathy O'Neal
