Virtual tours/video tours/animoto/real estate shows - help!

By
Real Estate Agent with ACapeHouse.com, LLC

I'm trying to decide which direction to take my video tours or virtual tours.  I used to use real estate shows and was very happy with them.  I thought I would take it more to the level of a virtual tour so I bought my FLIP which I also love but feel like my tours don't look that great.  I found animoto.com which was cool when doing family videos to music but there is an annual fee for making real estate videos.  I checked out the webiste previsite.com but would have to buy their camera.  I am looking to my AR friends...what do you use/like/cost/etc.  Any advice would be great and I would be grateful.  Thanks.

My goal was that every listing has a VT, the pics looks good, and it costs almost nothing.

I use CPG Tours because I get unlimited VT for $150 a year ($12.50/MO), it is web based, so no software to install, takes regular pics or pics that you have stitched to a panoramic shot, and takes about 30 minutes to make a great looking tour.  http://www.cpgtours.com/?aid=1240

I have used Visual Tours, and yes the tours were fine, but I didnt like having to have software installed.  I like being able to use any computer anywhere. I also thought that the templates were a little dated, but I did like the message boards that other users would help each other with their tours.

I know several people who use http://www.icatch360.com/

Lori, Thanks for your message.  I just signed up for cpgtours.  I used to use real estate shows and it seems just as easy.  I like that it updates other sites easily.  Here I go making my tours.  Thanks again for giving me something new to try.

Colleen,

Looks like you got your question resolved.  Interesting take on all the products.  I have heard great things about Animoto-cross industry.

Hi Colleen, I use Real Estate Shows and don't plan on changing.  I like the virtual tours and the quality of this format.  I also like being able to use the program to publish a tour to You Tube.

Colleen, by now you are sure to have the solution to your video process, however I'd like to advise you and anyone else you know start making your videos work a little harder. You don't want to rely on just one broadcasting channel for your videos, and you should consider using an add on software that will turn your videos into landing pages. You can plug in software that will allow your viewers to IMMEDIATELY complete opt-in forms and even buy now buttons. I have a long list of software I recommend.

Easy Video Converter will create video web pages and put opt-in links in your videos;
Instant Video Uploader will load your video to multiple video broadcasting channels;
Easy Video Press Finally, an easy way to add video to your Wordpress into a marketing assistant.

All of these things turn your videos into 24 hour marketing machines that you deserve.
If you ever want to just brainstorm about marketing ideas just drop me a note.

Continued Success.

Be very careful about Animoto - they charge a great deal of money and don't deliver any service.  The customer support is nonexistent and what little they have is flip and rude and all about getting more money.  They have trouble playing nice with WordPress which is a huge problem for many real estate agents.  If you ask for help they either ignore you or blow you off.   I just wrote a blog about my experience with Animoto and their awful customer service.

If you don't want the link - email me and I will take it down.  But I want people to be aware of HOW bad they are.  At $250 a year for commercial use I expect a whole lot better.  I didn't pay for that - but I can't imagine their service would get better if I did.
