Rockville Centre embraces the Fall and the spirit of Halloween. The leaves are changing and everything is painted in glowing colors of gold and orange. Many people decorate their homes in very scarey themes and other homeowners choose the very traditional. Whatever the theme - a drive around our town will certainly let you know that Fall has arrived, and Halloween is on its way.
Some of my favorite homes in Rockville Centre:
This is one of my favorite homes decorated during Halloween - it has a huge following and gets very crowded. A couple of days prior to Halloween people are staged throughout the scene - only when you are standing next to them will they move very suddenly. The older children love the suspense.
The walkway is always lined with the seasonal flowers!
Our community comes together for The Rockville Centre Recreation Department's "Ragamuffin Parade" which was held October 25th. The children are judged by age group for best Halloween costume. It is a wonderful community event where the children parade down Maple Avenue to the Recreation Center where the winners are announced.
Have a safe and Happy Halloween!!
