Google Wave is coming!
The video is over and hour so before you scroll down watch the video read this...
When this was announced, the story was that Google Wave was a message board meets chat room. I usually stay away from both. Messageboards are too disorganized and chatrooms are "usually" full of crazy people. I had no idea until I watched the video what I missed out on by not signing up as a tester...
Think of an email to one person or a group that is online in a shared space like your Active Rain Blog...
You invite the recipient(s) to go and read it. You can still make changes in real time. Instant message, meet email - Instamail
Hang on...
They can edit it with you in real time, invite others to do the same, drag photos into it, watch live as others update the "Wave." You post it to your blog/twitter/website meanwhile everything is updated in real time. - (Instamail meet message board meet blog meet photo sharing.) So far so good...
I think that's an Eminstaphoblog
Google Wave is open source meaning anyone can design a useful tool that everyone else gets to use. Kind of like I-Phone apps but free.
I know you are drifting away. Stay with me...
Anyone can instantly add a video, links, games, maps, pictures, widgets, other waves, with another person across the world who speaks another language that is translated for you in real time WOW!
I cant begin to imagine how this will evolve once its released to the public...
This video is over an hour but if you can sit through it, it will blow you away!
