Modbook... The Next "Big" Thing?

So, after looking at another one of Jeff Turner's blogs (Brain Dead Simple Panoramas - Autostitch) it got me thinking.

I've been using a tablet (Gateway CX2720 convertible notebook) for just about a year now and love it. In fact, I rarely use my desktop pc anymore. However, I've been doing more and more with photography and music which I'm told a Mac is great for. Well, I don't want to give up my tablet and everyone keeps telling that there isn't a Mac tablet... what do I do?

Well, I googled "mac tablet" and lo and behold, the Modbook popped up...

 So, my questions are...

Does anyone have any first-hand knowledge about this monster? I know it's basically a born-again Macbook Intel Core 2 Duo and I can read the specs but I want to know, has anyone out here in ARland seen one of these up close and personal? Is the switch-over to Mac for the audio/video aspect worth it?

Hi, Randy!

I have a Toshiba tablet that works well for me.  I'll watch what response you get on this thread.  Thanks for sharing.

Yolanda: Yeah, I love my Gateway as well but, with all the pics and audio files I'm working with, I'm wondering if I should make the switch over. IF this tablet is any good, that is. That's why I'm hoping for some feedback.

Yeah, I'm hoping for some feedback as well, Yolanda.

Anyone know of anything yet or is it just too new?

No idea, but I don't have a tablet.  I will have to look into those...

Well, like I said. I've had my tablet for just about a year and I love it. They are definitely worth checking out.
