Realtors...please advise.

Ok, I've been a lender for a dozen years.  I've helped hundreds of clients, and written thousands of loans.  I have tried to use any number of different means to communicate with the realtor partners that are involved in the transaction with me.  I've emailed, called, you name it. Sometimes, realtors don't want to hear at all from me.

Quick poll: How often would you like to hear from your lender?

a) weekly

b) bi-weekly

c) only as things change

I'd love to hear the consensus.  I prefer to over comunicate, but I dont always accomplish that.  But please, let me know so I can serve you all better.

Thanks.

Bob, more is better than too little!  I love it when I get e-mail updates from my lender! I can read it at my speed and respond when I am able.  He also texts if something is urgent. It's always great to ask for feedback! I can see why you are successful!

Hey Bob,

Updates all the time...that's way TOO MUCH FOR ME. Once it's multiplied by 10-15X, those just get ignored. No more that every 2-wks for me, unless there is a MAJOR chane we need to know.

For me it's the same way to be in front of my consumers, yet not "in your face"..

Hi Bob,

My guess is that there is no one right answer here.  I think this is a good question to ask each Agent you work with as far as their, or their clients preference.  I'm a Realtor and Loan officer and I do loans for other agents and I've had other lenders do loans for my buyers.  Everyone seems to have their own level of need to know.  I do agree that if you are uncertain, over communicate is better than under.

Bob,

At least once a week but if you are in the closing stages of an escrow...then obviously even more!

I have to say once a week as well, or more if something is changed...  but, that is from the brokers that I use most..  If I start getting hit by others that just want my business, I tend to delete them..

Bob, Most days, I do talk with the lender:)  Contracts are constantly needing modifications, and details must be followed up on.  If I don't talk to them, I do email them.  Keeping track of all the new regs, plus, watching dates and rates, we need to have conversations!

Are you Bitzing?  I'll call you tomorrow if you are!

It's a Good Life,

Fran
