The Classic - "Why are You Hitting Yourself"

By
Real Estate Agent with Carolina One Real Estate

I was lucky enough to grow up with an older brother and while he was really never hurtful or mean he loved the "why are you hitting yourself" game.  That classic really wasn't about pain.  The point was annoyance and control.  My brother and I now live quite far away from each other but I think I play the "hitting myself" game pretty well without him around.  Over and over, I can annoy myself and time and time again I can lose sight of what I can and can't control.

So, I gotta wake up and smell the coffee!

I'm entering the NO Annoyance Zone.

Step One - Pay attention to my fist and if it starts heading towards me I'm going to reroute it and move forward.

Ahh, the old "why are you hitting yourself" game, just one step removed from the more annoying atomic wedgie. I know you are, but what am I? Older siblings can be a treat.

That game came up last night for some reason, and I was laughing, along with my husband, remembering I was the youngest of four and was always 'hitting' myself. Thankd goodness I don't have to play it anymore.

Laura, great advice, thanks!  As the youngest of three boys, I am all too familiar with that game.

Love the "know you are" circle....and how about the "I'm not touching you" finger

Have a great annoyance free zone day everyone!
