My sister, Kerri Rankin Thoreson, is a gifted photographer. She is never without a camera or two, which is how she manages to capature so many spectacular photographs!
While working on a project the other day I asked Kerri if she had any cool photographs of North Idaho's winter beauty that I could use. Within just a few minutes she had sent me over several photos, and once again I was awed. Summer, fall winter, or spring - the beauty that surrounds us in beautiful North Idaho never ceases to amaze me!
This unique sight is an elk ranch just south of Coeur d'Alene near Rockford Bay. In the winter, nearly 50 of these magnificent creatures with their impressive antlers are visible as from Hwy. 95.
