St. Mary's River State Park Maryland

In my opinion the St. Mary's River State Park is one of the most beautiful parks in the County. If you like fishing, hiking, picnic, playground for the kids, this is the place to go! The trail for hiking or mountain bike has 7.5 miles around the lake.

They ask you a "day use service fee" of $3/vehicle year-round. Out-of-state residents add $1. If you go to the St. Mary's River State Park Maryland please bring a plastic bag and take your tresh with you. There is no place for trash in the park.

Directions to St. Mary's River State Park Maryland: Three miles north of Great Mills, 24 miles north of Point Lookout State Park, off MD Route 5 on Camp Cosoma Road. If you are coming from Rout 5 South, it is after Food Lion. If you are coming from R5 North, Camp Cosoma is the first L after Chingville Rd. The park is located at the end of Camp Cosoma Rd, Leonardtown.
