March 11 is World Plumbing Day, established to further understanding of the vital role the plumbing industry plays in guarding the public's health and safety. World Plumbing Day also honors the often underrated ways in which contractors, inspectors, installers, engineers, and manufacturers do great things for the environment.
March 15-21 is Fix a Leak Week. One pays for leaks as water coming in, sanitary waste going out, and-in the case of wasted hot water-electricity or gas to heat it and not use it! Instructions on how to fix a leak are available in English and Spanish at the EPA web site.
