This is a marketing class, therefore, it is NOT approved for continuing education credit by NYS. To succeed, you need to develop a 3 month, 6 month, 1 year and 5 year plan marketing "you". Once you have put your marketing plan in writing you can always modify it, based upon the return on investment, but you cannot put your head in the sand and hope things blow over. You must pro-actively market yourself in this market.
Think about it. My name is Bill Merrell. I own the Merrell Institute. I have marketed myself and my school and my many products, and there are very few people who have not heard of my school. That is known as marketing and branding. It does not have to cost any money to brand yourself and market yourself. It costs money to advertise, not to market. Marketing and branding takes time to work, but they do not cost you in advertising dollars. You do have to work towards this goal.
