Top Ten Things Sellers hate to be ASKED

By
Real Estate Agent with Mezzina Real Estate & Insurance

The top ten things that sellers hate to be asked when showing their home:

10.  Did you build that yourself?

  9.  How many pets do you have?

  8.  When was the last time you had you air conditioner and heater serviced?

  7.  Will you be taking the cars in the backyard with you?

  6.  Are those all your children playing out front on the street?

  5.  Your neighbor is a Led Zeppelin fan?

  4.  Do the airplanes always fly that low?

  3.  Is the pool hard to maintain?

  2.  May I see your utility bills?

And the number ONE question sellers hate to hear:

•1.       How much are your property taxes?

Shelly - that would ring their bell, too.

Shanna - I try to get them to tell me the taxes on their current home first - They don't like to tell and I think they use that as the wild card so they have an excuse NOT to BUY.

Salt Spring - we have got to keep a sense of humor in this job. Thanks for reading.

Eric - I like it. I can think of a few right off the top.

I'd rather have the question about the cars in the backyard rather than about the ones on the front lawn.

Oh...man #1 always scares me. I was in construction for 16 years and when I run across self" home improvements by some who watched "THis Old House" a couple of times I am extremely "wary. One other thing, I'm the Led Zepplin fan in my hood ;-)
