The Real Estate "Perfect storm" I was predicting
back in february is raining down upon us now.
In the Sutton Group Real Estate office at Minet's Point and Lakeshore Road everyone has a look of purpose and a stepped up pace. Already this year the number of trades has doubled what they were last year at this time.
I have seen over 50 homes, up down inside and out with buyers in this month alone. This past Sunday I was the second agent to bring clients through a home just listed the evening before.
We entered just as the previous house hunters and their Realtor were leaving. Both parties presented offers on the home later that day and before the sun went down, even before the for sale sign had been installed on the lawn, my buyers had an accepted offer on a fine bungalow with an oversized in town yard and a professionally finished walk out basement. My quick actions paid off and my buyer clients couldnt be happier.
As I said in that post I wrote in February, I'll say again now. This is a good time to sell a home in the Barrie area.
I'm going to put it on the line again and further predict that the Real Estate frenzy we recently came into is going to dry up just as quickly by the end of June. The pendulum will have stopped swinging by then and we will return to something we have not seen in many years in Barrie and most of Ontario... an adjusted, balanced market with stable prices This will require more patience from vendors as homes can take longer than what we have grown to expect in Ontario to sell under those conditions.
I want the chance to sell your house too so give me a call. Lets sit down and design a selling strategy that works for you and your house.
