Jim and Maria, I'm so sorry about Marmalade.  Our pets become such a part of our our family.  We cried for a week when we lost our dog last year.  We have a grand kitty that is an orange tabby that presently lives with us.  Our daughter plans to claim her again once she is no longer flying and I know that I will miss her.

I'm so sorry.  She looks so beautiful and happy.  I have photos of many of my lost fur babies on my walls at home.

I'm so sorry about your Sweet Marmalade. We had a kitty just like her, but ours was Tigger. Pets are such a comfort and blessing to our lives and will be missed but remembered dearly.

Sorry about your loss.  The pictures are great and she is a beautiful kitty.  I have to admit, though, your title has me craving toast.

I too am sorry for your loss....to me, losing a family pet is equal to losing a family member...it hurts so much.  Glad you have all the cute photos and memories...she is over the rainbow now as they say...

Jim and Maria  Unless you have pets you don't realize how much an important part of a family they are and are missed as much as any family member

Thanks for all of your comments.  I got Marmalade in 1997 when he was three months old, so he has been with me longer than Jim :)  He quit eating the other day, and you could just tell that he was not himself.  Two days later he was gone.  It's almost surreal that he isn't here anymore.  But he had a good life, and I will always remember my sweet boy.

Maria (and Jim), sorry to hear of your loss.  Having a cat as a loved companion is a special sort of love.  He will always remain in your heart and memory.   He looked like a sweety.   ---Gloria

Maria,.so sorry to hear about your sweet Marmalade.  Our animaks become part of the family. I had a Tibetan Terrier named Geo,  that  died of cancer 8 years ago....and I still miss him and often call my chocolate lab Geo instead of his name, Zeke.

You make the fifth person I know who has had a cat go to kitty cat heaven in the past six months. Five people and six cats. Zoey the Cool Cat sends her thoughts and best wishes, too.

I'm thinking of you!
