As a new member to active rain, I am very exciting to begin my real estate blogging to share some information with potential readers. On this blog, I will get to share my knowledge of real estate which is what I do for a living and have done so for the last few years.
The biggest thing I think is important to keep up with is the technology end of things. We as agents get bombarded with ways to make our business more effiecent and we know that more and more buyers start their process of purchasing a home on-line. In the old days, most people picked up a phone and called an agent. From there the agent would take buyers out to many properties and gauge what buyers likes and dislikes were and from there the agent would be abble to gauge what the buyers really wanted. Today, buyers are doing that themselves-online and then when they need to see the actually property is when they contact an agent.
What is wrong with this picture? Nothing! Think about it- the buyers are more knowledgable and have paired down the homes that interest them and the agents have less running around showing homes that might not be to the buyers liking. I see this as a win-win. although the older Agents may have a tough time keeping up with Technology.
Blogging is a great tool and inter-active. This is a great communication tool!
