Reply Realestate.com a scam?

By
Real Estate Agent with Weichert Realtors Collegeville RS302044

Does anyone have any experience with or heard about www.replyrealestate.com.

The company claimes to supply leads and makes many promises for a LOW fee.

What's the catch?

Really bad and unethical company to deal with.  I seriously warn my fellow realtors to stay away from them.

Thanks for the other postings and feedback!

Anybody interested should track down case # c11-00208 in Contra Costa County CA, dated Jan 21,2011.

They paid $70,000 in fines and court costs, and were enjoined against most of their fraudulent practices.

Wow, I just got a call from them and was considering them for a little bit before i did some research. I'm glad I read this blog post. Thank you for sharing! I think I will avoid that company at all cost.

It is a scam! I am trying to stop them from pulling money from my account.  They charged my account before giving the access to the website to read the agreement. The leads that they sent was from people looking at cars, auto, not home and some people are just trying to check the values of their home and got so mad at being bombarded with calls.

If there is a class action suit, count me in. They are trying to patent the name!

It is a total scam. I have not gotten one valid lead, and every person I call tells me that I am about the seventh agent who has called them. I signed up for 3 months(they said that was the minimum), and I really want to cancel. Am thinking of getting a lawyer involved. Any luck with anyone cancelling and getting their money back?

I am a real estate agent out of Boston. I am sick that I did not look up this company before I signed up for their "leads". My god, what a waste of money. I can't stand getting taken. Everything agents say about this site is true; a real ripoff. I am so stupid for not doing my due diligence. shame on me.

Thanks for all these comments.  I just got off the phone with a sales representative with Reply! and WAS considering buying the seller leads.  I am so thankful that I saw this post from Active Rain on Google!  She is suppose to call me back in a couple of hours for my decision and it will be NO THANKS!!

I am a real estate agent in Kissimmee, Florida.  I fell for the reply real estate scam and signed up.  Luckily I found this site just after hanging up with them and giving them my credit card information.  I immediately called back and nobody picked up the phone.  I proceeded to call my credit card, cancel the credit card number and send Reply Real Estate an e-mail requesting to have my account cancelled.

Thank god for fellow realtors posting these comments.

Was just on the phone with Reply Real Estate ... getting the sales pitch for real estate leads.  It all sounded good and we talked for a long time, even though I'm NOT a fan of buying leads!

Funny thing, after all that time on the phone, I told her the salesperson that I had found some info on Active Rain ... all of a sudden, she was in a hurry to get off the phone.  I just read the comments above - now I know why she jumped off the call!

Thanks to all for the info, and I'm glad Active Rain ranks high on google - good info, and easy to find.  Probably saved me some money, and a bunch of time!

YES! Stay away from these BUMS!!!! They STEAL money from you bank account and they take anyone off the internet and send them to you saying they are a lead and then they bill your account. If you call and complain they say wed will replace the "lead" but they keep adding people who will never buy real estate.  And keep billing you. STAY AWAY FROM THESE BUMS they billed my account $178 three days ago I have yet to find a way to stop them and have never recieved a quailty lead from threm! STAY AWAY.

Unfortunately I didn't research these people before I signed up.  Now they are charging my credit cards for lousy leads and refuse to cancel.  I'm seeking help from my attorney but would appreciate hearing from any of you who successfully stopped these people.  I would also join a class action suit if there is one.

I wish I'd seen this thread before I got scammed!!  Believe me; they are the worst!  Reply implies that you are the exclusive Realtor for the area, then when you call the potential prospect they are mad at you becuase you are the 3rd or 4th Agent who called them.  Thankfully, my credit card company was able to put a block on Reply for 15 months, however, it was still a $300 lesson.  STAY WELL CLEAR OF REPLY REAL ESTATE, YOU WILL REGRET IT IF YOU DON'T!!

Just discovered they sell the same lead to up to 4 real estate professionals. Working on canceling after just one month of BS.

I just got a call from them and Googled them while I was hearing their pitch.  I asked the representative if he was aware of the bad press about his company by Realtors and that there weren't ANY good reviews about them.  He was polite and said that if I  was OK with missing out on a fantastic mney-making opportunity then that was too bad for me.  I told him that I like to keep my own hard-earned money, I never pay for leads and believe my peers on ActiveRain when they say to stay away from a scamming company.  Good-bye...

Seriously the worst company I have ever dealt with.  Absolute misrepresentation.  If you are a realtor and buy seller leads they are all re-financing and if you buy buyer leads, they are not interested, don't return your call etc.  The company should be reported to the Better Business Bureau for downright lying and trying to lock you into a 3 month contract when you didn't sign for one.  BEWARE of REPLY REAL ESTATE!!!

Wow! I just got a call from this company and tried to check them out on line while the sales rep was with me on the phone...now I understand why she understood my wanting to read all the reviews and call her back...I will not call her back after reading all the negative reviews. I thought it sounded too good to be true!
