Chris Ann- Excellent Post It flows very well and the pictures are a definite plus! A great super hyper sensitive localism post! Oops I need to lay off the coffee for a bit! :-)
Hi Chris -- Wow, this community looks so inviting. And...you take exceptional photographs.
Duane: Today I tried life without coffee. I've been having horrible stomach aches for the last week and thought I might back off until my digestive issue is resolved.
Chris: I owe it all to the Kodak Easy Share. I love that camera. Kodak should've gotten to the "So easy a caveman can do it," slogan before Geico. It really is point and shoot.
Chris Ann: Hey woman. I have wanted to move back for over ten years, now. You surely do not have to talk me into it. But... I live in an apartment... no more houses for me... and the rent is SOOO much more reasonable for a really nice gated apartment community... here in Fort Worth... garden spot of The People's Republic of Texas.
Karen Anne: I completely understand. If I wasn't so deeply routed in Virginia and could move my job anywhere, I would certainly look into a more reasonably priced area myself.
Chris Ann: So... how far out 66... do I have to go to get a decent apartment... gated... and perfect for this older chick ? Either that... or how far out 70 from Ellicott City, or how far up 15 from 66 ? Where would you suggest I consider ? And gee... do you work rentals ? LOL.
Karen Anne: I sure do work rentals. Probably out to Haymarket to live in Regency. That's where I'm seeing you. There or in Heritage Hunt. You could find a nice condo to rent in a gated community. Maybe $1400-$1800/month.
Chris Ann this is one of the best posts on an area I have seen. Great work.
ps: Looks like a great place to live.
Cameron: Thanks for the compliment. I tried my hardest to make it timeless. I didn't want to put in high or low sales prices. We know how those change.
Chris Ann! FANTASTIC Localism post on Victory Lakes in Birsow VA - and your photos are gorgeous! What type of camera are you using? Mine seem very ho-hum compared to yours!
Congrats on the feature too!
Debe: Kodak Easy Share is what I use. A simple, inexpensive camera. I love it.
Congratulations on your feature, Chris Ann. Hey, I used to use a Kodak Easy Share. But I will say that I've noticed a marked improvement in my photos since I changed over to a Nikon Digital. Well, that and Photoshop, LOL. Almost every photo I take looks better after tweaking the "shadow and highlights" by 25%. But you have captured amazing detail of Victory Lakes with your Kodak.
Elizabeth: I have noticed that every picture looks better tweaked as well. Even if slightly tweaked.
Chris Ann, we tweak all the time! I absolutely love the editing capabilities in iPhoto. And these are gorgeous photos!
Sharon
Sharon: I'm not familiar with iPhoto since the only i-thingy I have is an iPod.
Hi Chris -
I went looking on active rain today for examples of localism. And the first thing I found was your post! I was so impressed that I emailed my team and we are meeting tommorrow to try and implement your ideas. Thank you.
Shanna: Great! It's easy to get inspired once we start playing in the Rain.
Chris Ann:
You are such a great role model for blogging about your neighborhoods. I am going to shameless copy your idea. Thanks.
Evelyn: I do not mind a bit. I hope it's a success for you too.
