President Accepts Blame for Oil Response | Homes For Sale Slidell Louisiana

President Obama accepts blame for the Federal Response to the Deepwater Horizon oil spill today.  While I am not a supporter of Obama, he is way to far left for me, I don't blame him.  I for one have very little faith in the government from doing just about anything except spending money.  They spend money better than anyone, just not well spent.

I once heard a quote that the Government spends money like a drunken sailor.  Well one drunken sailor took offense, eventually ran out of money and had to go home.  Sorry, I digress.

Maybe I blame him and short sighted politicians for making us drill in mile deep water, instead of a mile or so offshore.  Where a spill could easily be contained by divers not remote control robots from ships far above the surface.  Shells former CEO John Hofmeister said in 2008 there is plenty of oil on land and close to shore.  But no you can't ruin the landscape.  Meanwhile America will use 20 million barrels of oil tomorrow.  WAKE UP PEOPLE!!!.  Louisiana produces 30% of Americas Oil and natural gas.  There just isn't any need to drill in 5,000 feet of water when it's available closer and cheaper.  Well that's my rant today.

This is the same party that attacked President Bush when FEMA took over three days to arrive down your way. Here we are at 40+ days and the government still hasn't arrived to help? Why isn't the news media crying now?
