It’s Monday, and I thought it might be a pleasant change to start the week off with a little humor.   As many of you know, Twitter can have a tremendous impact on the way you market yourself and your brand to the masses.  Even though Twitter has become a massive phenomenon for communication, there are still a ton of people who do not understand the purpose of it.  Of course, as with anything that becomes amazingly popular, people start creating content to make fun of it.  So, here are a few humorous videos that have become popular on people making fun of Twitter.  Whether or not you use the service, hopefully this will help you start your week on a bright note.  Plus, feel free to share your thoughts on Twitter.

Josh, I think professionals overall (most) don't get what the whole phenomenon is supposed to do for them,. They hear people say 'you should be on twitter and facebook" so they join and try to pdeal merchandise. It is SOCIAL and should be treated that way. Over time business will simply come from it.

Josh, I don't think that the majority of people utilize these social media outlets in the appropriate manner.  Very often, they are conflicted with the term "social" media, and thus try to mix business with "social behavior".  My recommendation is for professionals to establish a 2 different accounts on these outlets (one strictly for business and the other for whatever else they choose to post).  This will make a huge difference in not allowing any "spillover" of your college friends posting something inappropriate that one of your clients (or worse, a prospect) can see and hold against you.  Just my 2 cents!

Thanks for the humor.  We use twitter in conjunction with our facebook page.  However, we have had way more luck with facebook over twitter.

Cool post :) We still use twitter at our company just as a basic way of getting news out, but 3 years after joining I've personally quit twitter. I did make great connections and had quite a following but there's just too much noise these days. I know one can set the account to private but I think it's time to move on.
