Paris sous la pluie ~ Paris in the rain
We have 3 grandkids turning 16 this year.
The one in San Antonio got a regular party and his Dad's truck (I think he got the truck since he keeps referring to it as "my truck.") He is happy.
The one in the Dallas area got a Sweet Sixteen trip to New York with her mother, sister, and grandmother. She saw the Lion King on Broadway, ate at Sardi's, saw Central Park, and more. Although the weather provided a beautiful blanket of snow while she was there, she said it was her best birthday ever ~ but actually she gets to do lots of cool things.
The one in Oregon is now on her Sweet Sixteen trip to Paris with her Mom and her best friend since Pre-K. I spoke with her last night and she was very excited and I am so excited for her. She speaks French so it will be interesting to learn how she makes use of it while she is there. (Also, she told me several times that she loves me... that made me very happy and is better than a trip to Paris for me, usually I get one I Love You per conversation ...ok so maybe I'm a little needy... LOL.. but I like being told that I am loved... especially by my precious granddaughter.) She touched down in Paris at 9:00 pm my time tonight... 8:00 am in Paris... and I am almost there with her. I checked out the weather forecast and it looks like she will get some heavy rain on Saturday. Paris sous la pluie.
I actually don't remember that much about my 16th birthday... maybe I got a cake?
