Help support your local Sullivan County New Hampshire Library-the Richards Free Library Newport,NH, the Small Town Librarys here in Sullivan County New Hampshire don't get to enjoy big revenue coming in to them, unlike the Big City LibrarysSmall Town Librarys are free to be used by the community they are located in.

Small Town Librarys have to mainly rely on the support of the folks that live in the community. That are willing to donate books, needed money, and even things that very will could be raffled off or maybe the Library could hold an auction to sale a donated item. Many of the Librarys in Sullivan County New Hampshire hold yard sales of items that have been donated, by folks of the community with the Library is located in.

do in other parts of the State or other States acorss the Country. The reason comes down to most , one such Library located in Sullivan County New Hampshire is the Richards Free Library which is located in Newport, New Hampshire. The Thursday Quilt Group that meet at the Library, along with The Richards Free Library Director Andrea Thorpe and Friends of the Richards Free Library treasurer Karen Monahan, have created a vibrant queen-sized quilt that will be raffled at the annual Library Festival, thats going to be held on 28 Aug. 2010.

More than 30 batik fabrics in which brilliant fall colors were used to create this Disappearing Nine Patch Quilt Block design. This mighty fine finished quilt has been professionally quilted by Newport, New Hampshire's very own Nancy Graham. You can buy your tickets at the Richards Free Library from now untill the actual raffle is held. You can buy your tickets for the very low price of a $1.00 per ticket or a whole book of six tickets for only $5.00, by going this way, you are actually geting one tickrt for free. Now that sure is a mighty fine deal!!!

Help support your local Sullivan County New Hampshire Library-the Richards Free Library Newport,NH, if you are unable to get to the Library itself, please take the time to call the Library at (603-863-3430) for information and other locations to buy your raffle tickets. All proceeds of this raffle will be used to support the Friends of the Richards Free Library.

The Richards Free Library Thursday Quilt Group meets at the Library on the first Thursday of each month, from 12:30 P.M. to 3:00 P.M. This group is free and open to anyone who quilts or anyone who is wanting to learn how to quilt.

When you go to buy your ticket to help support the Friends of the Richards Free Library, please think along the line of buying tickets. And not of just buying one ticket. Even with buying two whole books of six tickets. You would still be paying a whole lot less for this mighty fine quilt if you should have the winning ticket, than you would be able to go to a store to buy one. And you sure would not have one that had such care of it being made, as this one made by the Thursday Quilt Group that meets at the Richards Free Library. One more thing for you to also think about. What you will do with this mighty fine quilt, why not donate it right back. So they can hold another raffle of the quilt. That is what I'm going to do if I should endup winning this fine quilt.

Dale....Fund raising, especially in small communities is a challenging effort.  The library cause is certainly a worthy one.  Best of luck!

Dale - Excellent post.  Smaller libraries need all the support they can get.  Cari takes the kids to our local library at least once a week.  They are truly a gem in the community. ~ Doug

Carra, fund raisers sure can be a challenging effort at times. I can say the folks of Sullivan County New Hampshire, sure do always do a mighty fine job of pulling together to help the communitys in the County.

Doug, how have you and your family been? Thank you mighty kindly!!! Although folks don't usely find some of the fanciers things, that the big City Libraries offer. I do find that you can find really helpful folks in a small Town Librarie, that can actualy fill you in on more of the local History of the Town and area.

Dale we well understand the challenge to raise money when you live in a small community. They are in the process of building a new library here at Canyon Lake Texas and they would have never been able to do it without help from the community. If we were there I know Ceil would be buying some of those raffel tickets.

The library is a great place for the kids and how great that you have one they have access to.  In our area we don't have access to the library anymore.  They only give access to the people who live directly in the towns that the library is in.  As a kid I always loved having access to the library.

Debra, it sure is mighty nice for kids to have a library to go to, in order to learn new things. They can read and even feel as if they are where they are reading able. Sorry you and your kids don't have a library to enjoy.
