Is Your Toilet Cold? #5 Tip for Sellers

By
Real Estate Broker/Owner with iTexas Realty Co.

We receive some interesting comments to this series of posts that explore little known facts for Home Sellers in San Antonio, Texas (and other great towns), so here's another scintillating fact or two:

Toilet

Unless your Toilet is cold (or sensitive about balding), it's time to remove the fuzzy lid cover
(don't even tell me that it's PINK!).

While we're at it, let's really consider your bathroom's size...

Palatial isn't it?

NO?

Then let's stop making this dinky space look even smaller by covering up your nice flooring with a bathmat - or worse, 3 or 4  tiny, old, colorful  "nice" bathmats.

Now that we've finally established that your Toilet isn't cold, you tell me that your feet are? Well then, for showings only, roll up those bathmats and stash them in the back corner of your closet or some other hidden space until your showing is over.

Besides,
who wants some stranger's shoes where you put your clean feet?

EEEWWWW !

Interesting perspective. Never really thought of it. I will remind some folks I know about this...

Toilets seem to be the central attraction in some homes.  After all, how many photos do we see of them with the lid up?

That's a cute looking toilet for a toilet and what is in the little chest on the top lid cover?

I raised three boys and I would no more put a furry anything anywhere near my toilet than I would eat off it.  Yuk, I only started using a bath mat after they all moved out.  No strangers are allowed in my bathroom, unless they are coming in through the bathroom window when I am at work.

The covers are one thing.... the knitted toliet paper holders are my favorite.

Very good staging advise.  Sometimes those covers make it hard on a guy.  The lid always wants to fall while we are taking care of business.

You could always have the Sellers close the bathroom door and put a sign on it: "Please don't step on the floor. That's where we put our clean feet. Thanks!"

I'm still trying here in your blog. Thanks for letting me camp out this afternoon. I enjoyed it.
