Days To Remember, No worries, no pressure !

By

Those old days to remember in Mexico, I remember so well everything that we did with family and friends, Mexico culture it is quiet different and great too. No offense, but I like many things of Mexico, The food, friendships, traditions, culture, social life. In Mexico everything goes slow and if you are thinking to visit a friend, just you swing by and that’s it. Here, here in states is totally different because many of us are working and we have not enough time for friends / social life, everybody is running, correct me if I am wrong, but that’s the way that I that I feel, and I am telling you in a positive way. Many of us are focused working and we give less time to family and friends. I know that we need to have a balance in our life, but sometimes is very difficult. We must not be workaholics, but many of us we need to work extra hours.  From Mexico a thing that mostly I miss it is the social life, no offense and do not misconceive me, I have found many great people everywhere and friends here and I like many things and the quality of life in USA (comfort / convenience), services, etc, we have many great things here too, but….

How many of you have enough time to have a great social live, no worries, no pressure? If many of you have that, my respect to all of you

Best Regards,

Ray,

There is no  comparison.  Mexico has a quality of life that is much slower-paced and relationship friendly.  That, however, is changing!  One trip to the business district in Tijuana and you'll see people with cell phones glued to their ears and blackberrys beeping.

Ray, I take down time everyday. I rarely work pass 5:00. Balance happens to be one of my strong points. Now if I could just get off AR I would be OK.

I agree, I love that about Mexico!

Kinda like the mentality in our town of Gold Hill:

Our town motto is "Carpe Mañana"

Hi Ray,
Yes our lifestyle here in the States is non-stop. Work, work, work, with the exception of the few who have life wired. Of course there are rural areas that are slower, but it doesn't seem the same. Not that one is better than another, just different.. with different pros and cons on each side.

In South and Central America AND Europe, its different. I love that Spain takes several hours off during the day and everything shuts down from 11 to 2 or 3pm. But, on the other hand, if you want to get something done, its not so efficient. The States does have its advantages and I've grown accustomed to them and enjoy them, so I dont knock life here (as you did not either).

But yes.. the social life and closeness of family sure does tug on our hearts. Not saying it doesn't happen here, but its much more prevalent in other places.

I try hard to always make time for family, but it seems that friends are not as much a part of my life as they use to be. That is why on Sundays I try to slow down and just concentrate on the people closest to me.  Good blog Ray
